Trinidad is located on north coast of California, 280 miles north of San Francisco and 80 miles south of the Oregon border.  The Arcata/McKinleyville Airport is located just 10 minutes in McKinleyville, with connections to San Francisco, Sacramento, Redding, and Oregon airports.
